Born
and raised in Queensland Susan spent all her early years in and around the
small towns and fishing villages between Brisbane and Yeppoon. As the eldest
of 5 children and mother of 3 there was always an outlet for drawing in school
projects and homework but a career in art practice was never considered.
“In 2000, as a mature aged student studying Social Sciences at James Cook University in Townsville, a drawing class, offered as an elective to Archaeology forever changed the course of my studies and life”.
What
followed was 4 years of the most amazing exploration of my creativity, self-awareness
and expression.
